Really strong results today at WEHORR! It’s been a long 4 years waiting to race at the head, really pleased we’ve been able to get out.
Our first 8+ placed 13th overall, making them the 4th fastest university crew. Importantly closing the gap on Newcastle from 8 seconds at BUCS Head to just 1 second which is brilliant heading towards BUCS Regatta.
The second 8+ placed 38th overall, beating a fair few university first eights and putting them among the top medal contenders for Inter 8+s at BUCS Regatta at the end of April.
Our Dev squad placed 75th which gave them second place out of the university beginners and beat Newcastle’s 3rd 8+ which bodes well for the Boat Race of the North.
Great performances from all of our athletes - onto GB Trials and BUCS Regatta in just over a month.
Additionally amazing to see our alumni racing too. Lauren taking the overall win with Leander, followed by Helena and Ben in the top TSS boat, coming 3rd overall! A few others racing, including some supersubs - really well done to everyone!
