HENLEY ROYAL REGATTA 2019
A brilliant end to another fantastic year at DUBC with some incredible results for the club at HRR.
Our PA 4+ made it to the final, finishing 3/4 of a length behind Harvard University after a brilliant Henley campaign.
George Bourne’s quad crossed the Henley finish line as vicors of the Prince of Wales cup.
Alumni Angus Groom, rowing for Leander, and Matt Rossiter, rowing for a Leander and Oxford Brooks composite boat, were both winners in the Queen Mother Challenge Cup and the Steward’s Challenge Cup respectively.
Huge congratulations to all crews involved, and great thanks go to all our coaches, athletes, family, friends and alumni who have supported our crews from the beginning.
HENLEY WOMENS REGATTA 2019
The DUBC Women’s Squad saw great success in their racing at HWR 2019. The AA8+, C2-, and D4+ all made it through to their respective semi-finals where they all ended their amazing Henley campaigns. This was a great show from our women, giving us a very exciting platform to move onto next season with.
Saskia Devereux won her heat by clear water, moving through to the quarterfinals of the CLWT 1x where she sadly also ended her Henley campaign.
We are proud of all our athletes for their brilliant achievements and thank everyone who has supported the club on its journey. Good luck to the men who will show us what they can do in two weeks time.

Saturday of BUCS head weekend saw fantastic results for our Development Squad, who picked up four medals. Particular congratulations go to the women who saw three golds: WB4+ gold, WB4x gold, WB8+ gold. Our development men MB4+ then took silver.
Sunday saw the Championship and Intermediate competition where the MC4- picked up a silver and the MInt4x took bronze. A strong weekend of racing from all athletes, and thanks go to our ongoing support network of coaches, fellow athletes, alumni, families and friends of DUBC.

Following a triumphant regatta season, the club also had a very successful summer with four senior squad athletes racing at the U23 World Championships in Poznan, our lightweight quad winning a medal at the European University Games in Portugal, and the annual Durham University Sculling Camps drawing attendees from across the country an internationally.
