We are delighted to announce that DUBC will be holding the annual Alumni Dinner this year following the Head of the River Race 2016 in London. We have secured a private venue at Fulham FC’s riverside dining room on Saturday 19th March. The night will include awarding palatinates to the respective first 8s, a raffle, speeches and a three course meal with the company of DUBC top current athletes, Alumni, Coaches and Team Durham Staff.
Will Toogood and I have campaigned this year to host this alumni event in London for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost to reconnect with you, The Alumni, who as a club we have felt we have distanced ourselves from too much by holding the event in Durham in the past. Secondly to celebrate what stages to be a fantastic HORR event this year and award those who raced in the men and women’s 8s their Palatinate lycra’s. Finally though, to bring together both past and present members of DUBC to celebrate all that is good about Rowing, Durham and DUBC.
Therefore the Exec would like to cordially invite you to this year’s Alumni Dinner. Due to our limited capacity we will allocate tickets on a first come first served basis (however priority will also be given to groups of 4-10 people but please RSVP as a group.) The deadline for ticket applications will be Friday 11th March. You can apply for tickets by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. with the name(s) of people who are applying and one address to which the invite(s) can be sent to. Once your place(s) has been confirmed you will be asked to complete the payment procedure and then you will be sent a postal invite.
Tickets will cost £65 and will include;
- Champagne Reception on the riverside terrace
- Three course meal
- Half a bottle of wine
- Venue Hire
