DUBC athletes compete for GB

Congratulations go to DUBC students who have been competing at both the U23 World Championships in Brest, Belarus and the World University Rowing Championships in Szeged, Hungary.

Results from the U23 World Championships:
– Matt Rossiter Silver in M4-
– Jamie Watson Bronze in LM4x
– Jenny Arnold 4th in W4-
– Will Fletcher, apprentice coach, Gold in LM4-

Results from World University Championships:
– Matt Rossiter Gold in M8+
– Emily Taylor Gold in W4-
– Phil Congdon 3rd in B Final in M2- (commiserations to Stu McCluskey, Phil’s original pairs partner who broke his collar bone with weeks to go before the championships)

These are fantastic results for the individuals concerned but also for the club as a whole and we look forward to building on these successes over the next season. Good luck to our DUBC crews racing at the EUSA regatta in Amsterdam! (19th – 22nd August)
